Gaffel Workshop Studios was opened in 2000, run by the Gaffel association and with supply from the community of Gävle. The workshop studios started to give the proffessional artists in Gävle and surroundings the opportunity to work with more materials and machines than in the private studios.
The Gaffel association arrange courses for artists in several techniques, mostly silkscreenprinting on textile fabrics and other materials, but also in sculpture techniques.
In the workshops studios artists can rent a studio space for a project and also work with the different techniques in the workshops which are fully equiped for silkcreen and also include machinery for woodwork/joinery.
The studio for art projects is partly separate in the same area as the other workshops. The studio is used by artists projects as well as workshops, performances and exhibitions. It is well situated for monumental work with its travers, compressor, extrator etc.
Any artist can be a member in the association to come and work in the workshops and also join one of our courses. Please contact us if you want more information!
